Miss Vera to deliver keynotes at IFGE and Fantasia Fair.
Miss Vera will give the closing keynote presentation at Fantasia
Fair,
October 14-21, 2007 in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Fantasia
Fair is “more than a conference and more than a vacation.”
Begun in 1975, Fantasia Fair has the longest history of any
annual transgender event, “a total immersion experience
where most participants live 24/7 in their chosen gender.”
The exact date of Miss Vera’s keynote is Saturday, October
20. Participants can choose to stay for all or part of
Fantasia Fair. This will be Miss Vera’s very first visit to
Fantasia Fair and she invites you all to join her for a
truly memorable experience. If you decide to attend, and we

Veronica Vera will be a keynote speaker at the conference
of the International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE) that takes place from April 11-14, 2007 in Philadelphia.
Miss Vera’s presentation “Are Crossdressers Obsolete?” will
be featured on Thursday, April 12 at 10a.m.

Veronica
Vera will be among the group of authors performing at IN
THE FLESH, the reading series hosted each month by author
and sex columnist Rachel
Kramer Bussel.
This month it’s “True Sex Confessions Night” and
you can be sure Miss V has plenty to confess. A host of talented
writers will perform. IN THE FLESH takes place at Happy Endings
Lounge, 302 Broome Street, NYC.
Miss Vera and the Deans Educate Two Rowdy Boyos 
In February 2005, Miss Vera's Academy was invited by Gareth
Rees of Boomerang Productions, to participate in a pilot
for U.K Ch.4's Comedy Lab. The show would star two rowdy
young Welshmen, named Matt Pritchard and Mike "Pancho" Locke.
The two had already achieved much fame across Europe, as
the stars of the program Dirty Sanchez, a "beyond Jackass" type
show which has also aired on MTV in the USA as Team Sanchez.
Miss Shannon, Dean of 'Do's and Miss Deborah, Dean of Cosmetology
accompanied me to Europe. The show, Pritch and Panch Do...
The Cinderfella Experience took place in Cardiff, Wales and
in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, we used the home of my friend,
Xavier Hollander, the notorious Happy Hooker. Between keeping
Pritch and Panch on their toes, in their heels, and away
from their pints, plus living and working in Xaviera's bawdy
bed and breakfast, we had our hands full. Needless to say,
Miss Vera's Academy rose to the occasion.
Miss
Vera joins Dr. Annie Sprinkle at Sidewalk Sex Clinic
My dear friend Annie Sprinkle came up with a brilliant
plan to promote her new book, Dr. Sprinkle's Spectacular
Sex -- a sidewalk sex clinic to help needy New Yorkers.
She invited erotic filmmaker, Candida Royalle, author of How
to Tell a Naked Man What to Do; Barbara Carrellas, an
expert in Tantric and spiritual sex and our own Dean of Femme
Energy; Prof. Elizabeth Stephens, lesbian expert and Annie's
wife; and myself, to join her on Fifth Avenue, in front of
the
Museum of Sex.
For four hours, we made ourselves available to any and all.
It was amazing how people just came up and started talking
about their sex lives. We each had our own area of expertise
printed on a card. Mine was Transgender. But people pretty
much disregarded the titles and sat down wherever there was
a seat available. My first consultation was with a lovely
brunette in her early thirties. She told me that when she
doesn't have a particular partner, she has sex with friends.
She was happy to hear that I thought her "booty
calls" were very self-affirming and that it was good
that she didn't have to deny herself pleasure with a partner,
just because she wasn't doing it with the love of her life.
Then there was the young man who felt he came too fast, the
young woman who didn't like that her boyfriend watched porn,
two young women who had never had orgasms, the man who was
looking for free condoms, another man who was looking for
free Viagra (neither of which we had, although the condoms
will definitely be a part of any future sidewalk sex clinics,
the young dyke who thought she might like to come to the
Academy for femme training; and the most difficult case...
the man who said he had been released from prison 90 days
ago, and had not had a woman in 20 years. I suggested that
he find a good professional or check out the ladies in his
12-step program... but all he wanted was for me to get a
lot more personally involved in his case. The clinic was
an amazing experience, and I hope we do it again. In the
meantime, you can get lots of wonderful advice from Dr.

How to Walk in High Heels
By popular demand, this fall we will present additional group
classes in how to walk in high heels. The class will take place
on Wednesday, October 3 and be repeated on Thursday, October 11. 7:30-9:30pm. Location is midtown Manhattan. These
classes are open to all women. Tuition is $49 for one session or
$89 for both (because practice makes perfect!). Discount for

Search Would you like to come to the academy on scholarship as
a Miss Vera’s spokesmodel. We have lots of projects
underway that require enthusiastic volunteers who would like
to surrender themselves to me and the deans for a time, one
class, one week…depends on the project. In order to
be considered to be a model for an academy video, or a television
or magazine shoot, you must be comfortable appearing in both
male and female mode. Let’s face it girls, everyone
loves to see before and after. If you are interested, please
